Today we had a few students demonstrate the virtue of curiosity and wonder why the leaves were changing colour and falling off the trees! Some students also noticed that not all trees are bare! Here are some pictures of us exploring the trees around our school. What do you notice?

Ask me.... I touched the leaves and they were....

                                                       prickly, pointy...

Observing this bare tree....

We found some trees with leaves, and some without. Some of the trees are bare, and some have waxy spikes.

We have read this book earlier, Why Do The Leaves Change Colour? Click on the picture below to review the story again with me.

We started planting our seeds for our Little Green Thumb Garden. Ask me what we did..
Ask me what we are doing,  waiting for our soil pellet to....

Feeling and observing...

Zoe said, " It is hard."
                                              It became... thick
Xaver said, "After we poured water, it is getting softer."

We added water in the container and observed. The words that we came up with were...    big, huge, fat, swollen

We read,

What was my favourite part and why?                Like Louise, we are all different and grow and
blossom when the time is right. By reading this book,                                                                     we reflected how we can be patient because we are all
                                             special in our own way!

Thank you to parents that have been sending things for our colour wall. We do need more things for  yellow, orange, peach, red and black. Appreciate your contributions for our colour wall!
Thanks,
Mrs. Malik & Mrs. Queen
