Picture Day on Monday

 Today we read the book Hibernation Station by Michelle Meadows.

This is a rhyming story about different types of hibernating animals. Ask me to name some animals that hibernate in the winter. We also discussed the difference between hibernation and migration. Ask me which puppets Mrs. Queen used to explain the difference.

In science we continued to experiment with colour mixing. After mixing some primary colours together we made predictions about what would happen if we added corn starch to our mixtures. We observed closely and were surprised by the results. Ask me what I saw.

We also read a very funny book about colour mixing called Little blue and little yellow by Leo Lionni. Ask me about my favorite part of the story.
