Yesterday your child brought home information about our parent/teacher interviews. Interviews are on Thurs. Dec. 3 from 4:15 -8:00 pm and Fri. Dec. 4 from 8:00 am-12:30 pm. Please note that the conference manager opens to parents on Friday Nov.27th and closes Thursday, Dec. 3 at 12:00 pm. To book a conference please log into Vista Heights website :

With the snow and cold weather upon us it was hard for the students to believe that it is still fall. Winter does not officially arrive until December 21 but we chose to read a few books about snow today.

Geraldine’s Big Snow by Holly Keller is about an impatient little pig who wishes for a snow storm so that she can try her new sled. Ask me if Geraldine got her wish.

          

Snow by Uri Shulevitz is about a boy and his dog who spy a single snowflake. Before long they see two and then three and finally a flurry of snowflakes dancing through the sky. Ask me what was the same about these two stories.

During library time Mrs. Reimer also read us a book about winter. It was called The First Day of Winter by Denise Fleming. It was about a snowman who receives a special gift from a friend each day for 12 days. Ask me what gifts the snowman got.

Today the students in room 9 were busy working on their art portfolios.
