Our Kindergarten students are excited to receive their butterfly kits. We have been observing our larvae since they arrived and will be documenting our observations for the next few weeks.
Ask me about my observations..
Ask me about their size. What are they eating?
During our gym today and on Monday we will participate in a program called "Math and Motion." Teaching shapes and patterns through dance. The dance steps included were: Can you trace a circle with your elbows? Can you create
patterns with your body? explore patterns, shapes and number manipulation through movement.
The dance created a unique learning experience ad the students had to be listening and engaged to be ready for their next dance move.
The magical number for Math and motion was 8. ask me how did we use numbers in our dance?
Ask me to show you different ways that equal 8
What equals 8?
Exploring nature and observing the details using our 5 senses..
Ask me to count the petals on both flowers.. How many altogether?
What makes 10?
Who lives here?
point to a rough surface..
What did we find under the rock?
Find a moth in this picture. It is camouflaged! Ask me why didn't the moth fly away.
Ask me why did we go and sit under a tree? What do trees provide us with?
How do I know?
Thanks,
Mrs. Malik & Mrs. Queen
