After our long weekend away from school we checked on our beans this morning. We were amazed to see that our beans had sprouted roots, grown a stem and in some cases sprouted leaves.

We examined our beans with a magnifying glass and then we drew a sketch of our plant.

Royce's beans did not sprout. Ask me what I think happened to his beans.

When the students took their beans out of their plastic bags they noticed that the water had all dried up. We made a list of what the students thought had happened to the water.
