stay away from the edgeKindergarten writers discussed what authors and illustrators do. Our Kindergarten writers perceive themselves as capable authors and are excited about sharing their learning with each other. Our writers think about topics that are meaningful and observe and write. They know that as writers they need to add details and go back and edit their work!
We decided to do a nonfiction writing after reading this book,
We went over the steps how we planted our seeds..
Ask me what did we do First, Next and Then... We planted basil too..
Lucas found a word that he needed to write in his sentence..

We looked at different types of patterns that we could make..
Is this a pattern? look at the pattern and make a prediction
Ask me to read this pattern. point to the core of the pattern..
In the ABB pattern... point to the core
what is missing?
We read the book,
Ask me if this was a fiction or non-fiction book? Ask me about the plants we are growing in our garden...
Thank you for bringing in things for our grocery store
Look what we found on the box...
students were so excited to share their learning. Ask me to name the letters and what sound do they make?
